C4T incorporates SICTED model into its portfolio of tourist destinations services

C4T attended to SICTED training sessions led by the Secretary of State for Tourism of Spain, held in Santiago de Compostela from 21 to 24 September 2010.

C4T has accredited two members of its team of professionals as consultants specialized in the implementation of a Tourism Destinations Quality System (SICTED), both in advising and training as in the evaluation for establishment distinction.

SICTED (http://www.calidadendestino.es/) is a methodology developed by the Secretary of State for Tourism promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) made for enterprises and public services of a certain tourist destination/ territory, that using a Good Practice Manual (quality standards) helps and contributes to bring quality in all participating establishments and also to the Destination.

As we said in the past, the sum of corporate cultures related to quality in a territory generates benefits for the destination, its socio - economic development ultimately holds the product’s reliability and economic sustainability of the future.

Benefits of SICTED:

For Destinatios:

- Promote a permanent management structure (through the Bureau of Quality and SICTED manager), to ensure competitiveness increase for destination’s tourism enterprises.
- Provide a standard quality level in all tourism services.
- Increase the satisfaction of tourists and encourage loyalty from them.
- Increase the involvement and participation of entrepreneurs in developing tourist destinations.
- Participate in a national project along with 114 destinations.

For business / tourist services:

- Improve internal management, especially processes related to customer satisfaction.
- Increase equipment qualification through 4 cycles training plans, divided in 16 modules.
- Participate in the largest tourism quality project developed in Spain, along with more than 5,700 companies.
- To receive technical assistance that provides support for improvement.
- Apply for the distinctive “Tourist Quality Commitment”.

If you want to explore some of these concepts, additional information or propose a specific situation, please contact us.
